Homework will alternate between work set online and work set in homework books, which will be sent home. Homework that is set online will be accessed similarly to the Home Learning that was provided during the recent lockdown period. In the first week back, pupils will be reminded of the programs and their usernames and passwords. More information will follow in September.
Homework will be set every Friday and is to be completed by the following Friday (1 week later).
Some homework will be set on the Purple Mash website. Once you are logged into the Purple Mash website, an alert will notify your child that they have a task to complete.
Your child's weekly spellings will be sent home at the beginning of each new term for your child to learn. It will detail which spellings your child needs to learn each week by date. Your child will then be tested on these spellings the following week in school.
Reading diaries and reading books will be sent home each day with your child. Please listen to your child read each evening for at least 15 minutes. Please sign and date the diary each evening to state that your child has read with you. Pupils will also be read with by a member of staff a number of times per week at school.
Year 1 Homework - 08.10.2021
This week we have enjoyed National Poetry Day and have created our own poems all about conkers and all things autumnal! Below is a Poem called 'My Colours' by Colin West. We have read this to the children in class and for home work this week would like the children to learn as much of the poem as they can.
