PE

 

The KS2 pupils were all very excited to see their new exercise equipment installed into the main playground.

Pupils will be able to use this on a rota system during break times and the equipment will be available for use during PE lessons for activities such as circuit training and health related fitness.

The Year 6 pupils were the first to 'test' it out:

 

 

 

 

Currently at Heron Cross Primary the P.E. and sporting provision consists of:-

Tuesdays – Dance session for 45 minutes

Thursdays – Gymnastics Y1 & 2

The government is providing additional sports funding under the lasting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic Games during academic years 2013 to 2014, 2014 to 2015 and 2015- 2016.

We have currently received £13.985.  Our expenditure for 2015/16 is, as follows:-

The impact that this will have on our school is:

 

  • Staff with work alongside the Bee Active coaches to improve Staff subject knowledge and to help to provide fun and exciting lessons for all pupils
  • attendance will increase as children enjoy the P.E. lessons and the extracurricular activities.
  • An improvement in behaviour as we expect all children taking part in any P.E. lessons or extracurricular activities to follow the Golden rules in all aspects of school.
