FUNDING FOR THE P.E. AND SPORT PREMIUM 2017/18
Heron Cross Primary School receives P.E. and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6 using data from the January school census.
The funding was increased in 2017/18 where Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils recieved £16,000 along with an additional payment of £10 per pupil. Previously, Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils received £8,000 and an additional payment of £5 per pupil.
In the 2017/2018 financial year (April to March) the School received £11,072 for the provision of Physical Education, although this was subsidised heavily by the school budget in order to provide the best possible opportunities and range of provision for our children. Although we have received cofirmation from the Government that the funding is continuing in the 2019/20 financial year, we are yet to receive notification of the level of the funding and will update this area of our website as we receive up-to-date information.
However, our planned expenditure for the current financial year (2019/20) is detailed through the following link:
School staff and external companies also run several extra-curricular and lunchtime sports activities where no charge is made:-
(Swimming as part of the curriculum – KS2 only in 10 week blocks)
